What an awesome day of fishing in St. Augustine!.. This morning I had repeat client Jay along with Eric and Josh out for a charter. We started off quick with the guys catching some big trout. These trout were fired up putting up some drag screaming runs on the light tackle they were using. A short while later we switched up to some top-water plugs and they had quite a few interested redfish none of the fish stayed hooked up. We switched it up to some live bait and the redfish started chewin! The rest of the was spent catching some nice slot redfish. Great day of fishing guys!

500lbs Blue Marlin & 60lbs Spearfish

Today we had top angler Kris Sterckx from Belgium on Cal Rei. He made a dream come true by catching a big Blue Marlin & a 60lbs Spearfish on the spinning rod. The Blue Marlin died unfortunately in the fight. He will be back in August to release more billfish with Cal Rei!

Everything is biting! the backwaters are on fire with sheepshead, bluefish, flounder, redfish.... and the nearshore waters are producing lots of flounder, seabass, Spanish mackerel, kings, and cobia... Capt. Mike has been putting 25 to 60lb Cobia on the deck of the boat everyday with amazing numbers sighted every trip... and I've been smacking down the flounder nearshore!
